The Mobilygen MG1264 H.264 Coprocessor is designed for low-power mobile devices, and densely-packed multi-channel applications. The MG1264 consumes 185mW while encoding H.264 video up to 800x600 resolution at 30fps and high-fidelity 2-ch AAC audio. This breakthrough performance and lowpower consumption is the benefit of Mobilygen’s patented architecture. This architecture combines hardware data-driven media engines for efficient media processing, hardware-multithreading requiring zero overhead for control functions, and an ultra-efficient memory controller optimized for advanced video processing.
The MG1264 can be used to encode an SD video source and decode an SD stream simultaneously. It’s targeted at low power system implementations including: DVRs, video phones, IP cameras, and capture/transcoding devices for PCs and Personal Media Players.
